Privacy Notice
How Datadredge handles personal data
This notice explains how MRC Collective handles personal data when you visit this website, create an account, use the Datadredge service, or access a shared dashboard link. It is written to match the current behavior of the product and should be reviewed alongside your own legal requirements.
Who we are
MRC Collective operates Datadredge through mrccollective.se. If you have questions about this notice or want to exercise privacy rights, contact us at info@mrccollective.se.
What data we collect
When you use this website or create an account
- Account details such as email address, username, password hash, and account preferences.
- Site configuration data such as tracked site names, domains, share-link settings, and related metadata.
- Standard server and security data such as request timestamps, technical diagnostics, and sign-in activity.
When analytics tracking is used
- Page URLs, referrers, timestamps, event names, and event payload data submitted by the site owner.
- Derived technical data such as browser, operating system, device type, and country when available.
- Pseudonymous visitor, session, and visit identifiers created by the service for analytics reporting.
How we use the data
- To provide accounts, dashboards, site management, and optional shared analytics views.
- To secure the service, detect misuse, troubleshoot errors, and maintain system performance.
- To generate analytics and reporting for the relevant account owner.
- To respond to support requests, sales enquiries, or legal obligations.
Cookies, local storage, and tracking
- Datadredge uses essential first-party authentication cookies when you sign in.
- The public website may store a theme preference in local storage so the interface remembers light or dark mode.
- The analytics tracker is designed not to rely on third-party cookies for its visitor/session logic.
- We do not sell analytics data or use it for third-party advertising or commercial resale.
Country and IP handling
Country information may be supplied by infrastructure headers or, if configured by the service operator, derived from the request IP address using a local geolocation database. The goal is to store only the resulting country code in analytics records rather than the raw IP address as part of normal reporting.
Some visits will still appear as Unknown when country data is not available.
How long we keep data
We keep account, configuration, and analytics data for as long as it is needed to operate the service, provide reporting, protect the platform, and meet legal obligations. Tracking data may remain until the relevant site is deleted or retention settings are changed by the operator.
Who data is shared with
We do not sell personal data. We may share data only where needed to run the website and service, such as with hosting, infrastructure, database, backup, or support providers acting on our behalf, or where disclosure is required by law.
Shared dashboard links are read-only and only expose the analytics made available through the specific share token.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability. You may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
To make a privacy request, email info@mrccollective.se.
Controller vs site owner
For this website and Datadredge accounts, MRC Collective is the controller. If a customer uses Datadredge on their own website, that customer is responsible for their own privacy notice, lawful basis, and tracking setup.
Third-party geolocation data
If country lookup is enabled, the service may use a local DB-IP Lite country database. Attribution is shown in the footer.
Notice updates
We may update this notice as the product changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
